Main responsibilities are listed below: Development and execution of the annual field service plan for China territory; Drive the field solutions opportunity pursuit process; Proposal development of field service overhauls & revamps proposals including sourcing, pricing, and scope of work definition. Audit the Field Service projects / callouts in progress relative to actual time and cost. Responds, in a timely manner, to field technical questions concerning the installation, start-up, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair, and testing of D-R products. Assists the field personnel with resolution of field problems related to new or revamped equipment. Investigates and resolves contractual and warranty issues in the most cost-effective manner available, with a strong emphasis on corrective action. Work with the factories to resolve and assign warranty costs related to no/memo charge orders, intra/inter-company invoices, client back charges, and any other charges associated with contractual and warranty claim resolution. Focus on improving FS quality through implementation of best practices and training programs; Implement and monitor specific metrics to measure / track the business unit results; Accountable for overall cost control of the FS group; issue monthly operational and financial reports; Requirements Education/Experience: BSME or equivalent – minimum 10 years experience as engineer or related work experience. Compressor product (turbo, reciprocating) and steam knowledge required. Experience with overhauls and inspections of Steam Turbines, Reciprocating Compressors and Centrifugal Compressors. Must be fluent in Mandarin and English Language. Equipment / Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Skills or Work-style Preferred: Ability to work in Team Environment. Must possess strong communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision making skills. Must have ability to develop client relationships, display excellent listening skills, and maintain a positive attitude. Unique or Special Requirements: Travel required 50% - 60% |
